How to Enable Points Conversion at Checkout

Requirements

Before enabling the display, ensure that:

  • The Points to Currency Conversion option is enabled under Points & Rewards > Setup.
  • You’ve set a Points to Currency Conversion Rate (e.g., 10 points = $1).
  • Customers have a points balance in their account.

Enabling Points Conversion at Checkout

  1. Go to Points & Rewards > Setup in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Scroll to the Points Conversion section.
  3. Enable the toggle: Points to Currency Conversion.
  4. Set the Conversion Rate, Minimum Points Required, and Maximum Points Allowed.
  5. Save your settings.

Where Points Conversion is Displayed

Under Points & Rewards > Frontend Display, you control how and when customers see their points earning/redeeming options – including Points Conversion visibility at Checkout.

Key Settings in Frontend Display that affect Points Conversion:

  1. Points Redemption Form
    • Hide Points Redemption Form on Checkout if Zero Balance – Hides the conversion form for users with no points.
    • Auto Open Points Redemption Form – Expands the form by default on checkout page load.
  2. Points Earning Box
    • Though not directly related to conversion, this box shows how many points will be earned, encouraging point usage.

Don’t forget to set a conversion rate and save your changes.
